Are you ready to learn how to consciously communicate with your spirit guides?

It’s really much easier than you think and you are probably already doing it without even knowing!

All human beings have this capability.

“We all share the ability to enter altered states of consciousness and to travel out of body in non-physical realms – there to encounter supernatural entities and gain useful knowledge and healing powers from them.”
Graham Hancock – Journalist and Author of Supernatural

But just like there are different learning styles (visual, auditory, linguistic, etc), there are also different ways to perceive your spirit guides.

Watch the video and read on to find out which intuitive and psychic communication style fits your personality best and can  jumpstart your spirit guide communication:

The Five Clairs

The 6 different spirit guide communication styles are called clairs.

‘Claire’ comes from the French word ‘clear’ and describes a type of psychic sensitivity. The six clairs are clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience, claircognizance, clairgustance and clairscent.

Clair senses

Like radio waves, spiritual information is constantly being broadcast around us, so it’s really just a matter of learning how to tune into it.

We do that with our clair senses which each correspond to our 5 physical senses: seeing, hearing, feeling, smelling, tasting, touching.

The only one that does not have a connection to one of our physical senses is claircognizance.

And just like in daily life we use them all but some are more pronounced than others because of preference and/or training.

Which one is dominant can even change over time and we can also train to use our more dormant ones more.

Clairvoyance (clear seeing)

The probably most well-known clair is clairvoyance, specifically objective clairvoyance.

Physically seeing your spirit guide appear in your bedroom or your guide visiting you while you are in the hospital are examples of objective clairvoyance.

But it is much more common to see your spirit guides subjectively.

This means that you see them in your mind’s eye, as an image or vision that appears inside your head.

And even then, they don’t have to necessarily look like a human being or an angel. They can also just appear as sparks of light, orbs, and swirling wisps or even a symbol.

If you are an artist, architect, photographer, builder or work with visuals in any other way, focusing on developing your clairvoyance is what you should focus on.

Clairaudience (clear hearing)

When your primary clair is clairaudience, you will perceive your spirit guides through auditory sensations like music, voices, words, high pitched tones, and other extrasensory sounds.

Again, this can happen objectively, outside of yourself, or subjectively, in your own mind or ‘inner ear’.

Musicians, singers, writers and public speakers are the ones that find it most easy to communicate with their guides through this channel.

Clairsentience (clear feeling)

If you are an empath who easily picks up on other people’s feelings or attitudes, you get your psychic impressions through clairsentience.

It’s the ability to walk into a room and immediately (subjectively) feel the general mood or pick up on lingering emotions in abandoned buildings.

To feel it inside your own body when someone is not feeling well physically is the objective form of clairsentience.

You can use this same ability to feel your spirit guides and their messages to you.

Doctors, therapists, counselors, coaches, nurses, nannies and other caregivers  can develop this natural ability to consciously communicate with their guides.

Clairgustance (clear tasting)

This is one of the fewer known clairs and not very common.

However, you probably can recall at least one dream during which you ate something and actually remembered the taste. That’s clairgustance.

If you are a chef and have a professional spirit guide who helps you at work, they might send you tastes to improve your cooking skills.

As with all clairs, this can happen objectively or subjectively.

Chefs, bakers, food critics and hobby foodies want to improve this ability because it helps them develop a better relationship with their spirit guides.

Clairscent (clear smelling)

Also not very common as a main clair but very useful to add additional information to a conversation with your spirit guides is clairscent.

Ever smell violets, perfume or cigar smoke even though there is none around? That’s a sure sign that spirit guides are around.

You can perceive these smells as something outside of yourself or with your ‘third nose’ (I know, that sounds funny, lol).

Focus on this way of spirit guide communication if you are a florist, wine taster or perfume creator.

Claircognizance (clear knowing)

This is the only clair that does not have a corresponding physical sense but is still fairly common.

If you sometimes just know that your grandma just passed or that you should not walk down that alley, this might be your main way of communicating with your spirit guides.

It’s sometimes hard to trust your own abilities with this one because there is nothing that happens prior to the information you are receiving.

Philosophers, professors, doctors, scientists, spiritual leaders and business people often work with this clair to connect with their guides.

Action task:

Next time you sit down to meditate, pay attention to objective or subjective sensations coming in through your clairs.

If they do, don’t focus on them too much. Just take note and then go back to your meditation practice.

But do keep a journal and write your experiences down so you don’t forget.

Only if these sensations repeat themselves multiple times, you can start assuming that your spirit guide is coming through.

You can find instructions for this meditation here.
