Each spirit guide has it’s own ‘calling card’ which tells you that they are close.
Learning to detect these easily overlooked calling cards is the basis for any spirit guide communication.
So the point of the following meditation is to learn to detect that sign that your spirit guide is near.
However, know that this takes practice.
Doing this meditation once is not enough since you want to look for repeating sensations that come to you through your 6 clairs.
So do it for the next 7 days and see what happens.
But even if nothing happens, don’t fret.
It can take a while.

Preparing for the meditation
Find a quiet space to sit down where you won’t be disturbed.
No mantras, no music, just you and your breath.
You don’t have to sit in the lotus position. You can also sit on a chair if that is more comfortable.
Maybe light a candle, grab your favorite crystal or burn some incense.
Then quiet your mind and read through the meditation before you actually do it.
Now set a timer for 10 minutes, close your eyes and go through the process.
Spirit Guide Calling Card Meditation
Bring yourself into the center of yourself by concentrating on your breath.
Feel it flowing through your nose, into your lungs and into the rest of your body.
Once you feel that your mind has quieted down a bit and you feel peaceful and light, send out one thought to your spirit guide.
It doesn’t matter if you know them already or not.
Just send them the following thought:
“Dear spirit guide, I thank you for protecting and guiding me. I invite you to come close now so I can learn to feel your energy”.
Wait for any sensations or feelings that you might pick up.
You might feel a tingling sensation in your feet, hands or on the top of your head.
You might see a certain color in your mind’s eye.
A word might pop up into your head.
You might get suddenly cold or hot.
Or your foot starts twitching.
If something like that happens, take note and then bring your focus back to your breath.
Once the ten minutes are up, thank your guide and ask them to move out of your space again.
Don’t forget this step as this might be the point that you realize how the energy changes once they are leaving.
Simple but effective
Don’t underestimate the simplicity of this meditative exercise.
If you practice this long enough, you WILL learn to feel the presence of your spirit guide!
So let me stress again that you probably need to keep practicing for a while until you feel something.
